Apple (macOS and iOS)
Appleseed will work with you to determine goals and recommend, set up and manage innovative solutions within the Apple line of hardware and software products. We provide triage, basic troubleshooting and ongoing training as needed.
• Review operating system and software for security and compatibility, recommend/install upgrades as appropriate
• Diagnose and make recommendations for resolving storage and speed issues
• Organize and optimize use of iCloud, Photos, Music
• Streamline multiple account types and resolve sync issues across devices
• Resolve missing or duplicate items
• Demonstrate and teach iPhone camera features and basic photo sharing
• Help manage photos, albums, and projects including books, calendars, slideshows
• Locate, troubleshoot and merge multiple libraries and loose photos
• Teach how to create music playlists and sync those to other devices
• Assist with appointments at and communication with AppleCare and/or the Genius Bar when needed
Teaching and training
Appleseed provides premium quality training and technology support in a friendly, non-technical language that is easily understood. We help new Apple users to feel comfortable with and see simplicity in the tools, and we also assist experts who are looking for deeper knowledge. The goal is to educate and empower people to understand and use technology by determining needs, creating personalized, relevant content and delivering individualized learning paths.

Security
Security management is increasingly important in the online world, as every day, hackers become more sophisticated and sneaky. Spam, spoofs and fraud are much more widespread and can be tricky to detect and prevent. Appleseed’s security services provide (but are not limited to) secure networks, complex password management, multi-factor authentication, and malware scanning. Appleseed teaches users how to determine whether emails and/or phone calls are legitimate, and what to do when something seems fraudulent.
Backup
Having complete, secure backups is one of the most critical areas of technology. From complete, incremental backups with retention to disaster recovery plans, Appleseed will recommend and implement relevant, custom solutions to ensure nothing is ever lost.

Software
Apple is only the tip of the iceberg here. There are many 3rd party software offerings with which Appleseed has a wide variety of experience. The below list is only a beginning, and if we’re presented with something new, we are excited to explore and help out as requested. Our philosophy is: “If we don’t learn something new every day, then we’re not doing it right.”
Audio visual
Though A/V is not a core Appleseed service, we do have a fairly solid understanding and some experience with those needs. If a request is outside our expertise, we refer colleagues as appropriate.
Technical writing
Training and documentation are at the core of Appleseed. The end product of each session is an outline of technical items, including step-by-step instructions for topics learned. Some topics are highly technical, and the goal is to translate that into an easily understood style, tone, and voice.
Managed Services
Managed Service Providers (MSP) offer a comprehensive collection of automated services for computers, identity management, networks, backups, servers, and more. Examples of MSP services are remote management, automated updates and patches, and controlled logins. Appleseed is not an MSP, but we have experience in that world and have chosen to offer more custom and personalized support to individuals and small businesses.
